£1.80 buys a chicken that can lay 200 nutritious eggs a year, enough for a family to get some tasty eggs to eat with plenty left over to sell at market.

£5 could buy 5kg of sorghum seeds, a traditional crop of some African countries. 1kg of sorghum seed is sufficient for one harvest.

£12 buys a kit of essential tools like spades and hoes.

£15 could buy 50 fruit trees for planting in a family’s farm providing vital income and food, and protecting the soil from erosion.

£25 could buy a goat that provides gallons of nutritious milk and excellent manure. And when they breed, the kids are given to another family so they can benefit too.

£35 could help buy materials to construct one improved bee hive to increase honey production and household incomes for beekeepers.
